Hey there! My apologies for not being on that often. I still have that terrible internet that blocks deviantart, so I have to use a proxy to update. Anyway, my other reasons for being absent are these:

1. I just graduated from culinary school! I've got my certificate in baking and pastry, which should come in the mail any day now. I officially graduated on the 19th of October.

2. I got a job at a small chocolate shop! It's owned by a lovely woman who is also a painter. I do mainly chocolate work in the back, but sometimes I work the counter, which includes making coffee.

3. I've been really sick! I came down with h1n1, which then turned into pneumonia, which then turned to a cold. I had to take a week off of work to get better, but I'll hopefully be going back soon.



Other than that, I've been looking forward to the holidays, which is a good way for me to show off my skills. I also love the whole atmosphere it brings. I'm looking forward to making some sugar cookies and baking some pies. :3

Huzzah! I finally found a camera! I got new batteries for it and everything! Thankfully, I've stuck it in my backpack so I'll be able to take pictures of everything I make and post them on here so you guys can enjoy 'em. I'll try my best to post some recipes with them, 'cause they are very good. <3 It's a good thing that I found the camera, 'cause I should be starting my chocolate painting pretty soon, along with my sugar sculpture.

Due to situations beyond my control, I lost internet for a while, and school has also been keeping me pretty busy. I haven't had the time to sit down and do any more art, although I get a couple of days off from school somewhat soon, so I'll probably find time to doodle then. I'll also have somewhat reliable internet back, now that the library where I went to bum wireless from is now open again due to heavy flooding destroying a lot of stuff in January. I'll also hopefully be getting a job again soon, so I'll be able to afford a proper digital camera. I'll finally be able to take pictures of my classmates and my things that I make! I passed my beginning baking class with an A- (I missed a couple of days), and so far the advanced baking is doing well. It looks like I may get another A-, hopefully an A+, since I have yet to miss a day. It's ending on June 7th, and then I'll start on beginning pastry. I'm really looking forward to chocolate work!

It seems that karma has smiled upon me! I was given enough money to start going to school in February on the 14. It was nicely given to me by my grandfather, who I owe big time. He said that he doesn't expect me to pay it back, and all he wants is some smoked salmon. :3 I'm going to a weekend class, so I'll hopefully get lucky enough to get a job.
